This is the free exploratory version of 3D Science: Three-Dimensional Learning & Standards Progressions professional development drop. In this Drop, we will explore the key elements of three-dimensional (3D) learning in science instruction. You will learn how to analyze science standards by identifying the three dimensions—Science and Engineering Practices (SEPs), Crosscutting Concepts (CCCs), and Disciplinary Core Ideas (DCIs)—as well as Nature of Science (NOS) principles that guide scientific exploration. We will also dive into how standards progress across grade levels and how to design classroom activities that align with the principles of 3D science learning.
