Welcome to the free exploratory version of the Advanced Literacy Strategies: Text, Fluency & Vocabulary professional development module! This version is meant to give teachers a sneak-peak at the content and expectations, without needing to pay upfront. Please note that this free version will not lead to Continuing Education credit, as there are no completion requirements. To earn CE credit, please register for and complete the EDCI 5959 version of the drop ($60).
This drop focuses on advanced strategies for enhancing literacy instruction through text complexity, fluency, and vocabulary development. Learners will explore how to select appropriate texts for various reading levels, develop students' reading fluency, and implement effective vocabulary instruction. In the Demonstration of Learning, learners will create a Literacy Action Plan that serves as a plan to apply these strategies in your educational setting to improve literacy outcomes.
