This is the free exploratory version of the Cognitive Science in the Classroom: Attention & Comprehension professional development module. This version is meant to give teachers a sneak-peak at the content and expectations, without needing to pay upfront. Please note that this free version will not lead to Continuing Education credit, as there are no completion requirements. To earn CE credit, please register for and complete the EDCI 5959 version of the drop ($60).
In this drop, we explore cognitive science principles that enhance classroom learning, focusing on attention and comprehension strategies. Specifically, we will examine evidence-based strategies to help students focus, learn, and remember key concepts. To demonstrate competency, learners will apply one specific classroom strategy to a lesson plan in their context.
