To earn CE credit, please register for and complete the EDCI 5959 version of the drop ($60).

This Drop explores integrating cognitive science, educational neuroscience, and memory strategies into classroom teaching. What makes information stick? How do we forget? How can I harness current understandings in cognitive science to help students learn and how can I support a growth mindset? We will focus on understanding the brain's learning processes and applying evidence-based strategies to enhance student engagement and memory retention. Our journey will include designing a lesson plan incorporating one of these strategies to deepen students' understanding of the learning objectives and standards. This reflective process will equip us with the insights to tailor our teaching practices to better support student learning and memory retention.
