Welcome to the free exploratory version of the Creativity and Play to Promote Problem Solving professional development module! This version is meant to give teachers a sneak-peak at the content and expectations, without needing to pay upfront. Please note that this free version will not lead to Continuing Education credit, as there are no completion requirements. To earn CE credit, please register for and complete the EDCI 5959 version of the drop ($60).
In this Drop, we focus on analyzing existing Work-Based Learning (WBL) programs and designing a targeted WBL program that aligns with best practices in career technical education (CTE). This drop will explore the essential components of WBL, including structured learning experiences, industry partnerships, and student engagement strategies. Learners will engage in activities that help them connect WBL with their educational contexts, reflecting on the strengths and areas for improvement in their current practices. In the Demonstration of Learning, learners will analyze current WBL practices and present a program proposal that strategically integrates these elements to enhance career readiness for students.
