Welcome to the free exploratory version of the Designing Learner-Centered Assessments through Increased Student Agency! This version is meant to give teachers a sneak-peak at the content and expectations, without needing to pay upfront. Please note that this free version will not lead to Continuing Education credit, as there are no completion requirements. To earn CE credit, please register for and complete the EDCI 5959 version of the drop ($60).

By increasing opportunities for student agency, learners are more deeply engaged and invested in their learning. In this drop, learners will explore how building opportunities for student agency through learner-centered assessment can be implemented at any age level and across all content areas. To demonstrate mastery, learners will design a summative assessment experience that increases student agency in the assessment process.

 

 

This module, or Drop, is part of the broader RIDE initiative to create an ecosystem of synchronous and asynchronous experiences focusing on student-centered learning. The overarching goal of these Drops is to develop and enhance eight broad competencies captured in the Wyoming Portrait of an Educator.
