This is the free exploratory version of Foundations in Student-Driven Assessments professional development drop. This Drop dives into the transformative practice of student-driven assessments (SDAs), emphasizing learner agency and participatory assessment design. It explores how to evaluate assessments with the Spectrum of Assessment Design tool, aiming to shift towards more learner-centered approaches. It also covers methods to incorporate student voice and choice, co-design assessments with learners, and ultimately empower students to design their own assessments. In the Demonstration of Learning, you will evaluate where one of your existing assessments falls on the spectrum of assessment design, and devise a plan to shift it at least one level closer to becoming more learner-centered.
