Full course description
This is the free exploratory version of Foundations of Word Study Instruction professional development drop. In this Drop, learners will explore how to design effective Word Study lessons that address different stages of students' spelling development, including multilingual learners. Learners will work through strategies for creating differentiated lessons tailored to the developmental spelling needs of all students, and will learn how to assess students' progress through formative and summative approaches. In the Demonstration of Learning, learners will create a Word Study lesson that meets the needs of diverse learners.
