Explore Literacy in the K-6 School Community

This is the free exploratory version of the Explore Literacy in the K-6 School Community professional development module! This version is meant to give teachers a sneak-peak at the content and expectations, without needing to pay upfront. Please note that this free version will not lead to Continuing Education credit, as there are no completion requirements. To earn CE credit, please register for and complete the EDCI 5959 version of the drop ($60). 

This drop was created specifically for Wyoming educators and are the product of conversations that UW faculty and staff had with Kenny Jones, Executive Director of the Wyoming Association of Elementary School Principals. When asked what UW could do to support the principals and teachers in the state his first answer was, “We need to know how to improve literacy instruction in the classroom.” The literacy faculty at UW began working on short, stackable modules to provide research-based literacy information and instructional practices designed to support school leaders and classroom teachers.
